Doh! So it's not like my brother who wanted to know the sex of our kids to work out whether he was an Uncle or an Aunt?

Hi Shirl,
What you are trying to say is this kid will be arriving with a sausage but you don't have one right?

John what percentage are you using for the burgers?
I'm just making up a few for tea and I thought I would give it a go as I have got some of the lovely mix left from Wheels recipe.
I'm using using 400g meat so how much mix do you suggest? I only use meat plus salt and pepper usually in my burgers, do you bother with any fillers?
PS Wheels yours is still the best recipe we've ever tasted!

Hi Phil
I've just had a look at the supplied recipe and I don't have those bottom three things listed under spices so thats a no go. however after reading the rave reviews I will be sure to get the ingredients in for next time.
John says your recipe in burgers is fab so thats what I'm going with today. I just made up my sausages and I have remaining spices so it seems only polite
I am sooo busy at the moment, I've not even been updating my blog. I am trying to get all my Christmas shopping done before the arrival of my grandson on Christmas eve. Well I know he won't just arrive on time but you know what I mean

To be honest I didn't weigh the amount. I just added two tablespoons to a kilo of minced meat.
It's the business

Thanks John
Well I put less in than that so maybe I won't be able to taste it. I'll be eating them shortly so I shall let you know

looking forward to it. I do like strong tastes, and tend to use a lot higher % in my mixes, even more than others on the site, but that's just my preferance.

Hmmm scrumptious! Mind you they always are when you make your own!
I made some lovely breadcakes (baps to you non yorkshire folk) and a bit of salad
How people can enjoy take away burgers is beyond me, mind you I think they would change their mind if they had a homemade one.

I love this Wheels blend...I think I would sprinkle it on my cornflakes if I could.
If you are looking for a great bun to put them on try the Wheels bread roll blend...it's by far the best recipe on this site (IMHO). They are great with burgers.
I think I'm starting to sound like a groupie now...but they are great, try them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are all on the right track, one of the nicest home made breads I have made!!
And the sausage recipe earlier on was not half bad, think I have finally cracked the texture, although I have buggered the mixer in the process, perhaps I should have got the next model up...... mind you 19 from Argos should have been a warning!
Update - Tried the bread this morning, thought the top half was nice, but the bottom of the bap was similar in texture to a muffin, what might have caused this?
