Everyone in Holland likes to copy the Hema Rookworst, Verstegen's Gelromix is about as close as the original. As it so happens, I was given a 1.4 kg box of Gelromix by my cousin 2 weeks ago when he came for holidays to Australia. Usage as listed on the box is 55 gram Gelromix, 12 gram colorozo salt, the meat mix consists of equal amount of pork shoulder and jowl meat.

Hi, I just joined this forum hoping to find more information on making Hema style Rookworst. I'm hoping to get in touch with Hoggy regarding his "insider source" for the spice mix but it looks like he hasn't been active in a while and for some reason I can't PM him.

So, Hoggy, if you see this, I'd love to get in touch with you or if someone else has since developed a killer Hema Rookworst clone recipe they're willing to share with me, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!!!
