Happy Midsummer!

Postby grisell » Sat Jun 25, 2011 1:45 am

Happy Midsummer to all! Here in Sweden we take the Midsummer very seriously. Along with Christmas and Lucia (13 December), it's said that now the governmentally controlled Systembolaget who has a monopoly on anything stronger than 3.5 % alcohol, peaks.(Oh, that was a long sentence with the verb on the end, German style, I hope it came through intellegibly).

Half an egg with Dutch Maatjes herring, sour cream and onion. On the second egg smoked salmon (not home-smoked unfortunately :( ). In the platinum shot glass ice cold vodka, very lightly seasoned with wormwood and fenugreek.

I have a simple taste - I'm always satisfied with the best.
