Help with Reber Prof Mincer

Postby oldspots » Fri Apr 28, 2006 11:55 am

Can anyone help me with my Reber Prof. mincer, please? I brought this from the guys at Sausagemaking as an ex demo model and it didn't come with a manual. I have had trouble with it getting very hot, making alot of noise and now grease coming out of it. After a few attempts Steph did find out about the oil to use but I can't find it anywhere to buy. Its called Vaseline oil. Now waiting for her to come back to me as she contacted Italy about it. Has it got a gear box that needs oil as well as an engine? Please anyone out there that can help me as I am desperate - we make loads of sausages and I can't do without it.

Help with mincer

Postby oldspots » Fri Apr 28, 2006 12:49 pm

Oddley, don't know how you did that but thanks a million. I will pass that on to my husband as he is much more mechanical minded than me. I'll let you know if we sort it out. Thanks again.

Hello Old spots, If your mincer is using oil then it can be topped up with normal Hypoid 80 gear oil (which is used in car gear boxes)
I havent seen your mincer but it sounds as if its a bit small for your operation - is it a 22 or a 32?
I frequently use this oil to replace oil in Hobart mincers
regards
