After wasting extra unused casings or finding myself needing more, I started weighing my sausages and have come up with the following;

32 mm casing 2 meters per kg stuffed
40 mm casing 1 meter per kg stuffed
55 mm casing 0.5 meter per kg stuffed

I add an extra 20% for breakage just in case.....
