All about bread

It’s been a while....

My locked in isolation challenge...

So I have asthma. Forced to work from home. Not allowed to shop. I have LOTS of bread making books. Day 1 is from Italian Home Baking with Gino D’Acampo

This is ciambellone or Italian style cottage loaf. Happy with it, a little dense, but tasty. Ciabatta starter on the go for tomorrow’s ciabatta con olive e rosmarino

This is not my first rodeo. But tears of perfecting Wheels soft rolls can be boring for the family. So I’ve decided to be adventurous.

I’m even re-trying sour dough!!

I've had good luck making a hybrid sourdough loaf. I use the sourdough starter for flavor in a levain then use commercial yeast in the loaf. Mostly because I'm too cheap to use enough flour to build a really strong starter. Keep us posted on how you do and your workflow. We like bread photos too. :D

Good looking breads, I just revived a old sour dough starter that was in the freezer for 8 years. hope to make something with it tomorrow.

I got delayed, but hope to make some burger buns today. If all goes well I'll post up a pic.
