Wheels soft bread roll recipe?

Postby JollyJohn » Fri Jan 13, 2012 12:13 pm

I've been trying to get hold of Phil's bread roll recipe, unfortunately, the link on his blog doesn't work, and a search draws a blank. Anybody got a copy?

John.

Yeah, it opens the rolls page, but the basic method link is dead. But thanks anyway.

Thats the recipe I use all the time. (the one in the link)

What do you need to know?
Is it how to make them or the procedure for making them.

for me, I just lump everything into s bowl knead as for normal bread, very sticky mix this by the way...let it rise...divide into the rolls place on a floured baking tray , leave to rise again ( I do this until the are nearly touching as they bake and join together and leave that lovely fluffy bit on the sides when torn apart) and then bake as in the recipe.

Is this what you need?

Thanks John. Yes that's basically it, I didn't know if Phil did anything differently in his method. I'll make a batch at the weekend.

Cheers.

It is quite a sticky mix but other than that the usual procedure.
You wont be disappointed.

I'll write more about bread this year. I've been having another play with sourdough!
