They turned out great. Upon cooking the Gummy Bears melt and its like a sweet and sour sauce inside the sausage.

You're awesome. What recipe are you using as a base and what was the amount or ratio of gummy bears did you use?

Gummy Bear Brats

4 Lbs. Ground Pork
1 Lb. Ground Veal, Chicken or Turkey
1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
2 eggs
5 teaspoons salt
1 cup of milk
1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder or 1 onion minced
1/2 teaspoon mace
1 Tbs. special meat binder
1 cup Gummy bears
Combine all ingredients except gummy bears and mix until you get a bind. Then add the gummy bears, mix gently, stuff into natural casings and link into sausages.

sorry no pics

So I made a batch a few days ago and bottom line, they were surprisingly tasty. I think I added a little closer to 2 cups of gummy bears to my 5# batch. I'd make them again if I can find a better way to cook them because they made a terrible mess of my griddle! The casings didn't fully split but all sausages leak a bit, the problem with these ones is that it's leaking corn syrup and mucked up my griddle something fierce. Until I can devise a way to ensure no leaking they're off the menu!
