new toy

Postby DanMcG » Wed Jan 21, 2015 12:15 am

Got a heck of a deal on this bad boy....I've been wanting one for years.
at first glance it needs belts and a power cord, but its really sweet other wise.
If anyone can find/share info on this it would be helpful. its a Scharfen, Govenor model, and seems to be a copy of a Berkel 1810 or 1850. I'm still researching

Dan - did you see the link I put to the company who look like they were the manufacturer?

The photo's not showing here, is the link to somewhere that you need to be a member to view it?

Its a Scharfen model Governor, which is, from what I'm finding, the same as a Berkel 1850 model
I hope to start cleaning it up soon.
Phil, I've sent a email to the manufacture for more info on the drive belts as it needs 2 and the only place I found online that sells them wants 140 each for them. :( that would be more then I paid for the whole unit.

If you can get belts of roughly the same cross section, then with todays adhesives and a little tinkering you should be able to make some to size.
