A fresh winter black truffle! It was grown by a friend of mine in North Carolina and is about 40 g. I'll use it on New Year's Day. That's how you start a year! :D

Wow. Did they plant trees with impregnated roots?

He planted inoculated hazelnut trees 12 years ago and only just got a truffle 2 years ago. The dog he has tried to train as a truffle hound has not worked out yet and this truffle was found by someone else's dog. He's hopeful that more will show up ripe. It has a awesome aroma.

Wow!

Black gold right there!

The only more expensive ingredients I know of are caviar and sea cucumber but I would only eat the truffle heh.
