I'm new here.
I have a question about meat band saws. I'm looking at purchasing a used Hobart 5700 series that needs a bit of repair so its cheap.
I noticed the saw is tilted at about a 30 degree angle.. Why is this? Most band saws are straight up and down but this one is built (permanently?) at an angle.. Seems like it would make the same cut but what's the reason for the tilt?
We have some back yard pigs and we want to butcher them ourselves.
