Homemade cold smoker

I made one of these, bacon is smoking away in the Weber right now. Sieve cost me $5.00 at the local shop and really works.

I made some wood dust from some smoker pellets, ground them up in a coffee grinder, smoked for 7 hours today.

Wow, that's a lot longer than I thought it would be. That makes it a practical proposition.

I’m definitely going to give this a try as I have about 20Kg of oak dust that refuses to burn in my Pro Q generator.

Definitely going to try this in my Bradley smoker as the pucks get to be expensive on some long smokes as the feeder advances a new puck every 20mins. Let you know how it goes.
