Has anyone out there ever designed or know of a tandoori sausage recipe. Would love to know if it can be done.

My recipe was very simple as it was only an experiment.
700g coarsely minced fatty belly
1 onion
1/2 leek
3 small bunches wild bittercress (hot bite)
6 tsp tandoori powder
1tsp salt
black pepper
chopped coriander
a little water to help emulsify lightly
All re-mince together on fine setting
skinned up

Now drying out slightly in dehydrator for one hour. Shall eat in a few days when better amalgamation of flavors

Lookin' Good!

What would you substitute for the wild bittercress (hot bite)?

I guess some root ginger would give a hot bite?

Does the Tandoori Powder have an ingredients declaration you could post so that we can make it from scratch?


... but most importantly; do they taste as good as they look?

I can't let the OH know about this as she is MAD for Indian food...if I mention Tandoori & sausage my life will be hell. :roll:

The Tandoori powder mixture is as follows
cumin
coriander cayenne
salt
fenugrek
black pepper
onion powder
ginger
cllove
black mustard
garlic
bay leaf fresh
nutmeg
celery
cinnamon

The actual mix is tandoori masala powder from one of Bristol local indian delis. It is very good..

Could not wait...........so cooked one up for me and girlie....fantastic taste will improve with age i am sure
