I was in Makro a couple of days ago and they had double cream at ï¿½4.99 for a gallon....I'll have yet to do the maths on that one.

I'll take the wife on a nice trip out. :wink:

I was just thinking of my earlier post about the cream at Makro and the price Dave calculated seemed a bit cheap, so I called my mate to check and he said it was 1/2 gallon, NOT a gallon. :oops:

Thinking about the size of the container he is probably right...so this works out at ï¿½1.32 for 600ml and only 18p cheaper than Morrisons. Maybe not worth a special trip really. I must pay more attention next time.. :roll:

Its a 600ml carton - normally ï¿½1.68 - now a quid. Lasts until 21/12/08

I'll be going tomorrow too!! I may get a ï¿½10's worth, make the butter and then freeze it! I get about 12oz butter from a 600ml tub....Methinks some garlic & herb butter coming up!!

Heather, how do you do yours, esp a quantity like 6 x 600ml ??

Looks like an early start for me then...I don't want to miss out. Friday is mad-shopping day in my town and Tesco's does get busy. It seems all the retired people go shopping on Friday too, (even though they have all week to do it.) :roll:
