A new type of sausage!

Substitute Sausage

I didnt have any breadcrumbs; So I substituted rice,
I didnt have any fresh rubbed sage; So I used some other spice.
I didnt have any garlic powder; So I used some garlic paste,
A whole tin - not a half tin; I dont believe in waste.
I didnt have any lean pork butt; I used bargain beef instead,
At the nifty price I paid for it; I dont care--it wasnt red.
I was out of powdered dextrose; I used molasses in its place,
And I didnt have a bit of salt; So I used pepper - just a trace!
A friend gave me this danged recipe; He said I couldnt beat it.
There must be something wrong with him; I couldnt even eat it!

Best Wishes, Chuckwagon

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it probably needs a little more time on the grill.
