Question for you chaps, when using vit C in the sausage whats the best method to mix it in? would mixing it with the water first be ideal or should I put it straight into the mix with all the seasoning? do you leave it in the fridge overnight to do its stuff before mixing all the other seasoning in and before working the mixture? I am not sure at the moment!

Any advice would be appreciated

Regards

Dave :)

Thanx Richard...........

Do not know if you all know about this!! I was in my local town shopping centre today and went into a health shop to see how much their pure absorbic acid cost in comparison to what I bought it for, well they did not stock it, I was shocked to hear that in pure powder form its illegal to sell in the shops!!! the reason they gave me was that the druggies use it, how I do not know? but however they use it it cannot be bad for them can it?

Regards

Dave

Well I never, you learn something new every day...

Heroin prepared for the European market is insoluble in water and usually requires the addition of an acidifier such as citric acid or ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) powder to dissolve the drug. Due to the dangers from using lemon juice or vinegar to acidify the solution, packets of citric acid and Vitamin C powder are available at needle exchanges in Europe.

I've bought ascorbic acid powder from my local pharmacy - but then he knows what I want it for.

I bought sodium ascorbate online as he couldn't obtain it for me.
