Can someone tell me if Morton Tender Quick is comparable to prague #1? I plan to use it for both cold and hot smoking.

They are the same only in that they will both cure your meat, BUT you need to follow the directions given for each cure becuse the amount used per pound is very different.
#1 contains nitrite
mortons has nitrite and nitrate.
