I'm not a hunter, but I don't think there would be much left of a poor pigeon after being hit by a .358 or .270?

You are right, Tristar. Let's say that it would be obliterated out of ... this dimension of the Universe. The first time my friends took me hunting, a jackrabbit come out of its hole. 70 yards, don't need a tag for jackrabbits so I leveled my rifle ... They laughed at me saying that only a freaken wop could waste a bullet on a jackrabbit. 
Fact is that it was as big as a six months old German shepherd:pretty big in my book. It's all a matter of perspectives, I guess.
