Traditional Herby Pork Sausage

I would like a straight forward "traditional" herby pork sausage recipe. I am trying to recreate a taste of "tonbridge sausages" of the 1960's for my 85 year old mother. These sausages were very herby, but not spicy. Any ideas?

That's a new one on me, but it appears to be a type of 'Kentish Sausage'. Eliza Acton's "Modern Cookery In All Its Branches" contains a recipe:
