This might seem like an unusual question...when I was in Hong Kong recently I was offered by my host at the end of a meal a sweet pudding made from red kidney beans, it was almost souplike but was probably the dessert I have ever tasted.

I've no idea as to what it was called or the ingredients apart from the kidney beans.

Can anyone shed any light :?:

Hey Franco. Kidney beans aint my cup of tea of course..everybody in Texas eats Pinto beans ya know? Kidney beans is considered a yankee thing..cept for cajun red beans and rice where red kidney beans is permissable for sum reason. Now I have several recipes for sweet stuff made out of Pinto's. This would include..pie..cake..ice cream..and fudge. Should be easy enough to let the ice cream melt and eat it like pudding. Let me know. Cherrio old chap:)

In England I don't think there any sweet recipes for beans, I would be interested in a sweet bean pie recipe, would it be served hot or cold?
