Cheesy I know

Postby welsh wizard » Sun Sep 28, 2008 7:34 am

Does anyone have knock out cheese cake recipe? I am looking for a baked cheese cake rather than the other variety, you know the one with a golden type top. I think they call it an American cheese cake.

The reason I ask is I have this morning been asked to make a Cheese Wedding Cake and I would like to encorporate a really good cheese cake into the layers if at all possible.

For interest I am using all local cheeses, making a 5 cheese tureen in four layers and topping it off with a Cheese Cake for the not so savoury guests - if you know what I mean

cheers WW

Are you looking for what we over here call a Philadelphia cheese cake, with cream cheese and (usually) a graham cracker crust, baked in the oven? If so, I can post one for you.

How about a curd tart? A bit more traditional than a cheesecake :)

Curing is not an exact science... So it's not a sin to bin.
