All you buttermakers. Do you sour yor buttermilck with for instance with lemon juice?

i always use storebought organic buttermilk or a starterculture.

Hi Jim,

I usually give the buttermilk to the cats :roll: I suppose I should use it in scones or some such thing, but I'm usually at a bit of a loss as to what I can do with it. I really do not like throwing stuff away.

The buttermilk from making buter is a different thing to the shop bought cultured buttermilk.

I use the buttermilk from buttermaking in scones - it makes them lovely and light. No, I don't ad lemon juice.

well, i think i wasn't really honest. i buy my buttermilk at a local shop where the make there own butter. this buttermilk is a byproduce of the real butter, not cultuered milk.
