Aspratame is rubbish compared to Sucralose - aka Splenda.

Aris, could you expand on that, I'm not sure what point you are making?

By which I mean I'm lacking in understanding, nothing else.

Well, as far as artificial sweetners go, Asperatame (aka Nutrasweet) is not very good. It has an aftertaste, and is not heat stable, so you can't (or shouldn't) cook with it.

Sucralose - (trade name Splenda) is a different beast - it is heat stable, has no aftertaste - and is actually made from sugar.

I'm not saying that either is good for you, or bad for you - but as far as artificial sweetners go, Sucralose is the best tasting one, and the most stable for cooking purposes.
