Pate Recipe

Postby Fallow Buck » Thu Nov 16, 2006 11:44 am

Hi All,

I'm looking for a nice pate recipe for using up some venison liver. I have about 2-3lbs to use but can add some chicken livers to it to make it up to a specific ammount.

Thanks Jen,

I'll give that a go. It always sems a shame not to use the liver so I thought I'd make the efort this year.

Thanks and regards,

Hi FB

Venison liver is to die for. If I didnt suffer with this dam gout I would eat a lot more than I do now, and that is more than good for me

FOrtunatly I have no problem getting it but do you know I dont think I have ever seen it sold..................

Cheers WW

Hi WW, The game dealer in Durham market sells venison occasio nally. I agree with you it is the finest textured and flavoured of all livers

Wiz,

Ive seen it sold as Pate before but never as a liver.

I was busy last night making up two batches of sausages (25lbs in total) after dressing out a fallow, so I didn't get a chance to do the pate. It should get done this week I'm hoping.
