Excellent tip on the basics kettle elements LD, thanks!! I did manage to find one proper old fashioned element on ebay, but these will be much easier to get replacements for. In fact I feel a trip to Sainsburys coming on :) I'll start a new thread in Equipment and Supplies for this, so we can keep this one on cooking.

400 stores nationwide, and guess which sainsburys didn't have Basic kettles in stock today :roll:

Argos do a kettle at £4.79 would that fit the bill?
