Making Butter

my recent focus has been on cheese but I'm definitely going to make butter in th morning.

i love the videoe. it reminds me of how we made it in the third grade. 20 kids in a circle. 10 shakes per kid. butter.

as a grownup, i almost made butter inadvertantly when i overwhipped some "whipped cream." i could see the flecks of yellow in the bowl.

question: can salt be added before shaking???

As I said, I use a mixer - but yes, I add a little salt (and a pinch of sugar) at the start.

i like salted butter, and it seems easier to add it beforehand
