tips as in what is the best way to get as much meat out of the stuffer as possible, recently there has been at least 4/5 sausage worth of meat left in the stuffer once it has came to a halt.

What do you fellas/women do to get most of the meat out?

Fry and eat it, or make Scotch eggs, are two ideas that immediately spring to mind. But, I tend to freeze it untill I have a lot and them use it for sausage rolls.

Some guys push it out by running cooked rice or bread through the works. I've gone to using a dowel that fits into the stuffing tube and I just push it out into the end of the casing.

There's usually only a couple of burger's worth of meat left in my stuffer. Most of it gets rammed down the tube with a finger, and what's left in the tube gets pushed through with a smaller tube or a chopstick covered with a wedge of scrunched-up clingfilm.

No waste at all.

Or make a couple of burgers :-)

That's what I do. Then the Mrs and I get one each.
But I give her the smaller of the two, because I'm an evil bastard.
