Milk powder

I have seen a recipe for making bratwurst or something like that that requires non fat dairy powder.
Can I use Marvel Dried Milk or Nido?

The important part is the protein in the milk powder, non-fat or not doesn't matter. The protein will help your sausage remain juicy when cooked.

Oh ok. So if I use milk powder I don't need phosphate or soya protein?

But phosphate? I just bought some semi skimmed milk powder. It was the best I could do!

Phosphate is an optional ingredient in most sausages. I only use it in hot dogs. Semi-skimmed milk powder will work fine in bratwurst. :D
