Kenwood or stuffer?

Postby Henham » Mon Aug 28, 2006 7:17 am

Hi, this is my first time so be gentle with me.
I have occasionally made sauasages with my faithfull old kenwood but find it pretty manic. I have just had my first two pigs killed and want to make some more. Is it easier with a stuffer? Are ther any advantages to having a stuffer over a kenwood. In other words should I buy one and if so which one!

There is no comparison.....

If you seriously want to make sausages then a stuffer is a must and suggest the cheapest most appropriate one is the one sold by this forum Master.

most of us swear by this machine.

Hi

Like Rik I would recommend the vertical stuffer, I was lucky enough to be asked by Franco to review the machine - please see the link below.

Hi
I have a kenwood but if I was starting aging I would buy something better. It does the job, but its hard work

Hi Henman,

Welcome to the forum. I don't think you will regret buying the hobby stuffer, it is a superb piece of kit. The sausages produced using it are completely different from the ones using a sausage attachment on a mincing machine, the reduced tendency for smearing the fat in the forcemeat will make all the difference to the texture and moisture retention of your sausages.

Regards,
Richard
