Varieties of sausages around the world

Hi

Living in denmark, the local sausages are called Medister. These sausages are very finely ground, have very little fat or else in them, in fact, a bit of salt, pepper and nutmeg - thats it!

I find them a bit to hard/firm for my liking and prefer English sausages (not biased because I am English of course..!) but also when I lived in Italy, I do remember the local Italian butcher selling sausages which were quite similar to Engish sausages.

After Italy, I lived in Germany - and the 'Bratty' dominated, but again, nothing really close the English sausages.

Would love to hear of local varations around the world - I see we have a lot of different countries listed on the forum, how are they where you are?
