freeze cured hams or freeze raw meat and cure later?

Hello,
Should I cure hams from fresh meat and freeze the cured product?
OR
Freeze fresh meat and defrost and cure when I am ready to eat it?
Which method provides the best product? Does it depend upon the curing method?
