I did some working out with Excel (taking into account the 10 per cent adjustment for knots mentioned in the table) and - as it happens - the two sources are reasonably consistent.
In fact, it is the advice on p. 30 of the Google book that seems to be a bit wild (well, a little on the ambitious side) suggesting that 17m of 60mm casing will hold around 38Kg of filling.
Here are the figures that I worked out...some rounding and estimating was done but reasonably close for making comparisons. As I said, it's the book that seems to have the odd value (unless I've got my maths wrong!):
