starter help

Postby welsh wizard » Mon May 28, 2012 8:02 am

Please can anyone point me in the right direction of where to obtain mesophillic starter from? this is the term used in the book (Making your own cheese) but I expect the name is simplified further down the line.

Cheers WW

You could try Ascots, they are in your neck of the woods in Wales. They have a lot of cheese making stuff.

Thank you both. I will try Ascots first and then see where we go.

Apparently buttermilk can be used instead. See:
