I found this on the Ascotts website. Has anybody come across this before, are they a good investment and is there somewhere else that sells them cheaper.

no not found anything cheaper for the size (27L/6G'ish)
yes very good investment if you make a lot of cheese and if the temperature controls on this can be controlled (ie it's not just set to pasteurise)

AT LEAST YOU CAN FIND THE EQUIPMENT ON YOUR SIDE OF THE POND.


That is a perfect item. If it holds steady temp. then i will be very pleased.

OOPS-- The company just wrote to me telling me it is a 220 volt item. They gave me the oportunity to cancell. The brits are great to do business with.
Now where do I find a 110 volt item with adjustable emperature???

u should be able to find a converter, dad did that when we moved to Canada. Just like the travel converters for tourists.

Using a simple plug adaptor will only supply the device with 110V, we had a similar problem when travelling in Vancouver earlier this year, the hair dryer my wife had was a little bit weedy running on 110V. The thing might work with 110V, just probably won't get as hot.

You really need a step up transformer, they are not too expensive, just googling found quite a few results.

Just watch out for the wattage.

I bought a new seat for one of the motorcycles after the order was cancelled. Soo no more spending for a week or two.

Now i realize that i need a 6 us gallon heater like another hole in my head.
Ill try the sink method first.

I have been making sausage but havent done any cheese yet.

I was being compulsive but boy tht is some nice gizmo.
