fruit flies!

The little buggers seem to have made their way into my very first maturing stilton, dunno if a few have crawled into the container, or (as I suspect) a few eggs have been layed and 2/3 flies have flown out of the container in the last month. Given that they are only fruit flies, and that there are only a couple, do I really have to bin the cheese and start again? -I've waited months!

Tasted some and it was great, very strong, not much like the stilton I was aiming for, but as a fan of very pongy cheese, was happy with the result, decided against eating the crust, as a bit looked like it had been inhabited by the critters, but it was in no way riddled. A bit of selected carving and it'll be all good.

I could eat that pecorino, not sure about the live worms, maybe if they were small enough and I'd drunk enough.
