HELP with my cheese press!

I'm making a home made cheese press that basically looks like this:

My question is - how many pounds of gym weights do i need on top of the cheese press in order to press a single 7 or 8 inch diamiter wheel of parmesean? I'm getting very different suggestions from different places.
