Hi dave I know b.all about horticulture but could you turn some of the lot over and plant spuds. Then when you had to dig em next year you would at least get some reward for turning over and sorting the ground.

Jim has the right idea potatoes are a great way of breaking new ground and unbelievably even home grown tatties knock supermarket ones any-day.

Good luck with it Dave and get the kids involved, my girls are now 12 and 15 and have been helping since they could walk they are even enthusiastic about it ..............most of the time :lol:
