Brined Chicken Breasts

I got this recipe from the Barbecue Web channel on youTube.

which is good for a laugh, but don't watch when you're hungry.

For my own tastes, I cut down on the sugar, but that's me.

Brined Chicken Breasts

* 2L Cold Water
* 1 Tsp Dried Thyme
* 1/2 Tbsp Cayenne
* 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
* 1 Tbsp Onion Flakes
* 1 Tbsp Cracked Black Pepper
* 1/2 Cup Coarse Salt or 1/4 Cup Table Salt
* 1/2 Cup Sugar

Make up the brine and add your chicken breasts

Brine for at least 1 hour but no more than 1.5 hours in the fridge

Remove the chicken breasts and pat dry

Cover with cooking oil/olive oil.

Grill each side for 2 mins or until seared.

Move to indirect heat and cook for a further 20-25 minutes depending on how thick they are.

Thanks :)
Curing is not an exact science... So it's not a sin to bin.

Great hams, from little acorns grow...
