Allinson's bread flour offer at Tesco

For UK members, Allinson's strong white flour is on offer at Tesco until 05/11/13. A 3 kg bag is £2.00 with a 3 for the price of 2 deal, so works out at under 45p a kilo.

Not a bad price for a well known brand.

I actually prefer Lidl's bread flour.
We bought some Allinson's on offer at Tesco but found a better rise and crumb from Lidl's.
Still, at 45p a kilo, it wasn't THAT bad that I wouldn't use it again at that price :)

I notice that ALDI are selling an own brand bread flour. It was 75p for 1½kg of white (11.5 protien) and around £1 for the wholemeal (12.7 protien).
