Rather than a withered carrot or two I thought I would take these
in :)

The plaited loaf is Wheels own soft roll recipe, but I cut the water from 120ml to 50ml so I could manipulate the dough. I egg washed it before going in the oven. The slashed loaf is a wholemeal using flour from my local mill, and the seeded one is the oak smoked malt blend spotted at Waitrose recently.

Fabulous! You will have to consider changing your footnote. Is the beer for the vicar?

Cheers

I don't know John, I dropped them off at school this morning to go on the table, and by this afternoon the teachers and children had devoured the lot  (I did say they could) So I assume that is positive feedback :D

I'll see if I get any comments from the staff tomorrow when I see them.

Thanks!!

My favourite was the smoked malty one,

That's the one in the glass, by the way

(Yukon Brown Smoked Ale carries a deep delicious chocolate nutty flavour rounded off with a hint of smoke)
