Just back from 3 weeks in France and going through the posts saw this one. As Mike says, I mill my own wholemeal flour with the Kenwood grain mill attachment. I bought some organic wheat from Denver Mill, and a £15 sack is still going after several months and will see me through till Christmas probably. One of our members, Shirl, has a granite flour mill which would give a finer grind, but I have no complaints with the Kenwood. The flour has a great taste, and its one more thing to knock off the shopping list together with sausages bacon etc etc.

I've been looking around at some of the hand operated ones on the market, with the idea of modifying it to work as an attachment to my Reber mincer.

The trouble is I was looking for one that would crack sunflowers as well as mill flour. from what I've read - It's seems you can get them that do either really well.. or a crappy job of both!

thanks for the link & info!
