Humidity Questions

Postby AbeFroman » Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:32 pm

Hi all,

This is my first post here.

I recently set up a curing chamber with a chest freezer, auber instruments th210, eva dry dehumidifier(im in Florida), a hygrometer to monitor in my kitchen , and a little fan.

I'm a bit concerned as I am getting conflicting humidity readings between hygrometer and auber instruments th210. Which one do I believe? Auber instruments seems to read about 5-10% higher in humidity.

this is my hygrometer:

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Abe

Yes, I agree, and calibrate the Meade if you haven't already done so.
You could also set up both a dry bulb and a wet bulb thermometer (very easy to do but the thermometers must be accurate) and determine the relative humidity in your chamber via the following tables from NOAA.
