new ideas for the forum

Postby Franco » Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:03 pm

Now the forum is up and running again I think it might be an idea to freshen things up, what are your opinions?

Do we get rid of little used catergories, and do we need to add any more?

Franco
I have noticed that there is a SQL error with sessions keys whenever you tick the "remember me" during login. This could do with being looked at.
I think the existing layout is OK, pretty much covers everything.

Hi Franco

I have just sent you a PM on the error message too, I thought I must have been doing something wrong.

Like Spuddy I think the layout is good

Franco - will this be fixed? It is a bit annoying to have to log in each time :-)

aris get OPERA It's a free browser that will hold your logins in the magic wand.

It also stops most of that annoying spyware and malware.

I use Firefox and it does the same, but it's still a PITA to have to log in each time.

how about a veggie section.

falafals, sausages, burgers, koftas etc...

give something to the veggies when we chow-down on a hunk of meat

Give something to the veggies ! you mean like a steak?
Also why do vegetarians have to have the food looking like meat?

 your a harsh one!

I always feel a little harsh when i make bangers and mash and they get.... mash!

My girlfriend is a vegie (not impressed with pheasants hanging in the house :? ) and she would like to join in a good barbi and it always seems a little unfair she has to have the crappy brought shit sticks, when we all have some of the best meat delicatly hinted with herbs and spices hand stuffed :D or a juicy rare steak mmmmm

I'm a big fan of falafals mmmmmmm and am partial to a good vegie sausage, just seems a good veg saus is hard to come by.

Have you tried "Sosmix" and "Burgamix" both available in Holland and Barrett. They are very good bases you just need to add a bit of flavouring.

Brought up as a veggie eh?

In that case would I be swearing if I said:

...TVP! ....oh and NUT ROAST!!

I was a veggie for seven years when I was younger, but as my mother said when I started eating meat again..I "got better".

I found this on the phpBB forums as other people are getting the problem of automatic log in session errors, this was the reply, dont know if its a fix that works or not.......... I think sessions were changed on version 2.0.17

Usually this is caused by not running /install/update_to_latest.php
Upload the /install folder to the root of your forum, then point your browser to:http://www.yoursite.com/forum/install/update_to_latest.php

If that does not work, then upload a fresh copy of sessions.php and i believe common.php

Franco

Maybe you could introduce a section on the forum apertaining to new products that you introduce. Although I check the main site quite regularly, it is sometimes the case that I do not go onto the site unless I need to purchase something.
