Health and safety gone mad !

Postby yotmon » Sat Apr 27, 2013 4:38 pm

Just having a look through the news and saw that the Foods Standards agency have ordered a store to remove 300 packets of Whole hearted Roasted Monkey nuts off their shelves, due to the fact that they didn't carry a warning stating that they contain Peanuts :?. Now I know that peanut allergies are very serious and can prove fatal, so most suffers should be well clued up on what they can and cannot eat, so a packet of something called 'roasted nuts' would make me stay well clear. Anyone remember that rare thing called 'common sense' - last seen going out of the window a few years back I think

It's H & S gone mad! Sometimes I have to check the date to make sure it's not April Fools' Day.

Peanuts aren't nuts, though, so the label wasn't correct!
