...when, trying to duplicate the best sausage you've ever made and only one you've failed to write down precisely, the meat breaks, the salty ingredients are too much, and the casings split like frogs under a roller.

Yep, that's me!

Nah, seriously, why do you think I'm so anal about writing everything down. I can guarantee that if you don't, you'll forget something.

90% rescue by letting them bloom overnight then poaching/browning. Suitable to feed other people now.

I had four recipes on my android phone's colornote app. Lost them, tried to recover from backup, then found I had forgotten the password. Now the only things I keep there are shopping lists, and delete when I get home.

Now I keep recipes on my computer. Backed up on a second drive. I plan to print them and store them in a binder. And post them on forums like this as another backup. :)

The only thing that will make me lose them permanently is a zombie apocalypse. Anyone have a recipe for brain sausage?

been there on my last batch, facing redundancy and used cooking salt !!!!! D'oh

Ended up with twice the amount of both flavours, home dried Tomatos, basil, garlic and parmesan and pork and leek, all been sold now though. Ive made around 5 batches and all have gone within a few days, so now looking for some new ideas
