Is bacon a home remedy for Warts & Boils?

Hi All,

I hope you don't mind me posting, I work for a television production company called Outline.

Outline Productions are casting for the second series of their acclaimed health series, Health Freaks, for Channel 4 – and are looking for people across the UK who use and/or prepare their own home remedies.

We would love to hear from anyone who uses bacon as a home remedy for warts or boils (or any other old wives tales that you have found to work).

I have to confess I've never heard of that as a use for bacon

But think about it....I eat bacon, and I have no warts or boils....maybe there's something to it.

back when I was young.. (long time ago) my dog got a wart on top of his nose, dad had me put bacon grease on it several times, it was on top so he could not lick it off his nose, the wart did go away. Cure or fiction?
