Hi my cure just come through the door and I have got some pork loin ready to go.

Just clicked the link for local food heroes and it seems to be gone.

Is this just temporary or has it gone forever?

I hope it comes back because I felt confident using that bacon recipe and the calculator but now its gone I am not so sure.

My ISP has had major 'infrastructure' problems today. I've used them since I started, and my daughter was a commercial reseller of their services and we have never know this to happen before. Hopefully, things will be back to normal asap.

If you need the calculator urgently, PM me your email and I'll send it as a stand alone html page that you can open in your web browser.

I'd just started having a good read through the blog as well Phil and noticed it was down this morning, hope it's good news but error 503 normally just means the servers down/overloaded/under maintenance.

With any luck it'll be back soon :D

Andy

Edit, you're back up mate 8)

Well the joint is baconing if that is a word.

If it works we will have 2 1/2 kg of bacon for £11 yum.

I haven't got the facility for cold smoke yet really I am going to invest in the pro q thingy I think that's what it is called, they just seem a bit expensive.

As someone who has played with lots of other methods of cold-smoking, most of which involved freezing my bits off in the garden at peculiar times of the day and night, I can honestly say: "Spend the cash!" It's worth it.
