Beer in Aldi (UK)

Was in Aldi this evening and picked up some Theakstons Old peculiar and Wychwood's Hobgoblin, both priced at £1.25 for 500ml bottles - decent price for decent beers. Supposed to be a hot weekend so you'll need something to cool down with

They often have good beer deals, as surprisingly do Sainsburys on occasions.

I buy the stuff regularly for the functions we do. Try the Youngs best bitter @ 3.6% (I think), at 99p a bottle, its really good and cheaper than my wholesaler. Did you see they came 3rd in the London gin tasting competition beating some VERY expensive gins! Theirs is c£25 a bottle AND its got a green bowler hat on the label........

cheers WW
