Have you tried the belly that you cured in Franco's smoked bacon cure yet? If so how was it? I've posted about my attempt at bacon under the title Bacon Adventure.
Hi deb I have the same problem as you a little to salty "I think I used too much cure". The smokey flovour was just right though. I will soak it for a while and retry.
Thanks for the update Shaun. Think I'll be getting some of the smoked cure. My daughter's on holiday next week so I'll probably leave ordering anything until after then and then it'll be all systems go (I hope!!).
