Measurement unit conversions

In another thread, a link has been posted to a unit conversion table.

I wonder if folk know that Google will do this for you?

As well as the examples given, try these:

32 centigrade in fahrenheit

20 ounces in grams

{note the spaces and the spelling !!}

It is excellent for converting temperatures, weights and volumes.

However, converting *between* volume and weight is not possible to do accurately, in general, for solids, because it depends on the material's packing density, which even for the same material needn't stay constant. I'm sure we've all seen packaging with the words "contents may settle in transit" - which changes its packing density.
